Kootenay Wildcrafting is Sarah — a one-woman operation based in Fruitvale, BC, rooted in over a decade of ethical wildcrafting in the Kootenay forests. Every product begins in the forest: elderberries harvested at peak potency in September, cottonwood buds collected from windfall trees in winter, oils solar-infused for 4–6 weeks in her kitchen. Sarah touches every single product before it reaches you, and her guiding principle is simple — if she wouldn't trust it on her daughters' skin, she won't sell it to anyone. Ten percent of every sale goes to the Ancient Forest Alliance, in memory of The Glade, a childhood meadow lost to logging that taught her the most important lesson of all: take only what's freely given, and leave the rest.
